By far the highest quality food, service and atmosphere of any location in greater South East Queensland. The owner and staff are absolutely incredible. The service is exemplary and the atmosphere is classy, relaxing and elegant. We have been to the Cottage a few times previously over the past few years and each time fantastic food and wonderful service. Last night we thought we would try the Degustation menu.....we are still in a food coma - 24 hours later ! Highly recommend the menu with the standard wine package. We had a great night - and we will be back.
Absolutely remarkable dining experience, the food was sensational. A little gem, hidden in the heart of the Ipswich cbd. The wine paired perfectly with each course, the staff were friendly and had fantastic customer service. Will definitely be back again.
Made a last minute booking tonight and couldn’t have been happier! Food was absolutely impeccable. Every dish was made with love and thought. High quality ingredients. We will be back! Service was wonderful. Very homely and not rushed. We sat there for 2.5 hours and had our refreshments topped up as time passed and each dish came out at the perfect time. The olives were fresh and bursting with flavour, and the bruschetta was the perfect combination of crisp bread, juicy tomatoes, red onion, herbs, and a light dusting of parmesan — so fresh and tasty. 🥩 Main: For mains, we had the sirloin cooked medium with a side of baby potatoes in creamy mustard sauce. Our experience here was amazing. My husband took for me my 40th birthday and I couldn't have wished for a more lovely night. It was fine dining but without too much pretentiousness (the staff were fairly laid back which was refreshing). We had the 7 course degustation dinner with wine pairing and I'll honestly say every bite and drop was divine. Thank you all so much for a wonderful evening and we hope to be back again some day.
We will be back and taking a group of 10 to celebrate a special occasion. We normally dont eat at restaurants like this and embarrassingly dont understand all the menu so tonight was a test. We dont drink alcohol so cant comment on that. Everything we tried that was normal to our taste was amazing. The 2 things we s8sbt like were our tastebuds, i could tell from tasting that it was well executed and just my tastebuds that disliked those particular dishes. Staff were amazing, kind to my ineptness and answered all my questions and added a couple items to our order during our service. Noone ever days it, but i apprecaite clean facilities too and these were impeccable. There is wheelchair access via an elevator and ramp. I have never had rabbit before but cant wait to go back for this and the desserts especially. I have had quail before, but thia was the best tasting quail i jave personally wver had. Plenty of parking available on the street at our booking and a short 50m walk. So nice to have something i have never had/experienced before in Ipswich so no parking, long travel kr traffic issues on top of it being amazing food.
My wife and I come here every anniversary. Head chef waited on us personally after learning my wife couldn't have gluten or dairy. Altered several of the dishes to accommodate her and even created an entire dessert specifically for her. Cannot rate this restaurant highly enough.
I'd happily give 10 stars if I could. If you're after an exceptional fine dining experience that's decently priced this is the place to dine at. A great selection of Vino, the food is impeccable, excellent customer service, all in a beautiful welcoming ambient space. We chose the Wagyu for 2, cooked to perfection it just melts in your mouth. Perfect for that special occasion or just to treat yourself to something wonderful after a long work week.
